Raditaz is a new interactive radio application that combines an online radio station with location. Raditaz offers over 14 million songs. When a new station is created by a user, that station is automatically assigned geographical coordinates so other users can find it in the map view or by browsing on the main page. Tags can be applied to custom stations (@home, #running, #beach) to better define them. Users can browse tags based on keywords, to see what's trending in a specific community, or discover new music based on activities or interests. Within the portal users can share a song on Facebook, twitter, and email. Users can subscribe to playlists, see what their friends are listening to, and discover music. Music is delivered from the cloud to Android and iOS.
This application is available for mobile phones and web, and seems like a combination of Spotify and Pandora. Spotify allows users to share what they are listening to, and can connect to Facebook. What is unique about this application is the fact that it users twitter tags as a way to browse and search for music. I think it's great and will become really popular in the future. The younger generation loves discovering new music through friends, and by combining twitter, will make it that much easier for users to browse what people are listening to around them.
